Waterside Apartments

Hello,

Me and my partner are looking at renting an apartment on the new waterside block.
They are exactly what we are looking for however before we go for it we haven't spoke to anyone who has had experiences around that area or who has actually lived there.

So does anyone have any opinions or does anyone know someone who lives there and could recommend them?

Thankyou

Re: Waterside Apartments

The agent will give you more details.
There are one bed and two bed flats - all electric - some with balconies. The ground floor is office space so all flats are 1st floor and above. There is a lift and two staircases.
A car park at the back is and optional extra (to be paid for).
There is a janitor on duty daytime.

I think that some people are put off by the fact that there is no gas central heating.

I considered moving there at one time and have a floor plan of the 1st floor.

PS - 'no pets, no smokers, no housing benefit claimants' has applied to every flat there I have seen advertised in the past few years.

Re: Waterside Apartments

if your refering to teh flats near the old railway bridge that goes over a pond behind peel house off ormerod street there was a video made by a tennant there who recorded his travels to the nearest shop

dirty nappys in the street,a view of run down houses, beer cans etc

i think the video was called accrington stanley who are they ...it contains colourfull language infact it was posted on here at one point.Funny as hell but not funny if you live with it i suppose

Re: Waterside Apartments

the video was posted by garinda in the 18 section but the video maker has since made the video private which is a shame as it really did embarrass teh coucnil as to what a state the area was in

all i can recomend is that you take a good walk around the area to the rear of the properties .The photos on the web look nice but they are narrow shots so as not to capture what surrounds them specifically to the rear where instead of ducks your more likely to see shopping trollys and nappies

Re: Waterside Apartments

when inside the complex im sure its nice its what your surrounded by thats not too desireable

only a few weeks back there was a bit of a hoo-ha involving knives and armed police just a few yards from the entrance to this place that ended up on blackburn road if i remember correctly

so far all the pictures iv seen of its wonderfull view seem to have had the shopping trollys photoshopped out of them lol
