Whalley Road Furniture Dealer And Iron Monger.

Hi there,
It is a very small world sometimes and today has proven it once more.
A chap in the USA has bought a small piece of furniture with my ancestors' name on it. It was apparently taken to the US after 1986 as there was some minor work done on it in Trawden according to a label on the back.
JOHN THOMAS BARNES was an Iron Monger and Furniture maker in the late 19th century.
He lived in Whalley Road in 1901 with wife Annie and children JOHN NORMAN BARNES and ALICE.

Would anyone have any information relating to this man or his business.

Cheers,
Barnsie
