Re: What Charges?

Some bloke pushed my grandaughter over last night resulting in her breaking her arm. So I was wondering what the charge would be.

Once a complaint has been made and the police think there is case to answer it is passed on to the CPS. They will decide the severity of the attack to decide GBH or ABH.
I think first and formost that the accussed will be formally charged by the charge officer at the time at which ever police station he/she has been questioned at.he/she will then be bailed to appear at a mags court.its then up to the police officer to forward the charge sheet to the CPS

I would have thought the charges would have been very severe, especially if her Grandma got hold of the person first

Lets just put it this way, it is a good job her Grandad is no longer with us because he would have been livid. Believe you me John you wouldn't mess with these sorts and neither will I

Think I must agree Bernie, I keep forgetting I'm going on 63, still think I'm in my 30s sometimes, the mind might be willing but unfortunately the body is now very weak

That would be a specimen charge which could be common assualt to be upgraded later when the extent of the injuries are know.

Hope the little lass gets better soon Bernie.
