Funny that, the majority of the food I eat ends up on my waist.

Re: What do you do with your food waste?
I remember being given booklets of pictures of smiling children to sell but they were just the children's faces, no sunflowers.
My Mum used to encourage me to eat by reminding me that there were people starving in Africa. I couldn't see the logic - how was me eating spinach going to stop them starving?

That's why it appears as though I'm cultivating a bambino.
Every time I polish off Lettie's leftovers, it adds another week to my gestation period. I'll be carrying my belly round in a barrow at this rate!

Re: What do you do with your food waste?
I think it is disgusting that some water companies, based in seaside towns like Brighton, can still pump untreated sewerage straight into the sea.
If your landlady is flushing last night's cabbage down the pan as well, you could play a modern day version of Pooh sticks, and see which ends up floating on the beach first, your breakfast or your dinner.

Re: What do you do with your food waste?
How can a bit of sloppy mash be regarded as more foul than human waste? If a loo can deal with poo surely it can deal with some squidgy spud. You never see mashed potato washed up on the beach do you?
I see their point about some of the things that people put down the loos as they will not get broken down but surely things like soggy breakfast cereal and sloppy mash will be practically disintegrated before they get round the U-bend.

I know what you mean Willow - I have my cat food dishes in the bathroom and him being a fussy old chap, he sometimes wont eat everything I put down for him. It is easier for me to put his uneaten food down the loo than to take it the kitchen and put it in the bin. After all -most catfood looks like poo!! -dont even suggest I reuse it in my own meals (see my earlier post)
