I'll stick with the coons in TO ...

And China doesn't own America, Canada does. The annual volume of trade between America and Ontario is greater than that between China and America. And America runs on Canadian oil.

I don't know what happened to Peking ... I think it's been replaced by lap dancing (See thread in General Chat.

....but China buys worthless USA government bonds when no-one else will.
USA is in hock big style to China.

According to SKY news yesterday China is in trouble with manufacturing as it's main market -the EU- is in crisis and orders are faltering....

According to Michael Moore in his docu-film about 9/11 the Bin-Laden family owned about 7% of the US economy in 2001....that sounds like quite a lot for a family concern.

Just seen the result of The Economist's pole:
NY 34%, London 21%, Singapore 18%, Washington 6%, Shanghai, Beiijing and Dehli 6%

Brussels as future capital of the U.S. of Europe doesn't figure.

Africa, Australasia and the Middle East don't figure..

Some have suggested that instead of the original 5 parameters(see beginning of thread) other factors should be considered such as: Cleanliness, Health, Green Space, Happiness and the gap between Rich and Poor.... summed up perhaps as Liveability.
