It also depend on the tv at ours; if it's Bill Bailey/Bill Oddie/any pathology programme you have no chance of shifting her off the sofa !

I dont think your being unreasonable willow mine have always been early to bed when its school .. luckily for me my daughter has never contested it and now shes left school i leave it up to her and sometimes she still pops herself off to bed at 9 ish .. but she is drifting closer to eleven now . but i think that will change a bit when she starts college..

my eldest go's to bed about 9 ish but reads in bed and drops off about 10ish, but by son whos only 6 goes to bed at 8.30 cuz the little ****** doesnt drop off till about 9.30, hes a right little sod!, always messing in his room!.....always saying,....."it still light, its not bedtime yet"

My 4 year old daughter trys that one. "Its not dark yet" put her to bed at 8 and she doesnt go over till about 9.00-9.30.

oh less winter has better weather than we are having now - the sun may be out til 10pm then instead of it being black at the moment

I dont think that times unreasonable Willow, mine are little yet but the baby goes at 6pm and the 5yr old goes at 7pm, bedtime for her is when we say it is regardless of daylight its worked so far but probably wont last for much longer.
