What to do?
I've been roped into looking after my neice and nephew today, aged nine and six respectively.
They broke up yesterday and have just been dropped off. They are quietly watching childrens television, but that ends in thirty minutes.
Any ideas what we can do near to Ossy?
We will probably go for a walk and feed the ducks, but after that I'm stumped.

Re: What to do?
Thers a 'fun place' inside Ossy mills it costs a few quid but may be enough to see you through a few hours and hopefully tire them out a bit as well

Re: What to do?
Sorry, forgot, Is the Library still open? Or buy some cheap coloring books and crayons and make a picnic up. Go up Rhyddings park and play on the park.

I'm sure that whatever you choose to do, they will just love spending time with their uncle..

Re: What to do?
Just got back from a two hour ramble, all rosey cheeked and happy.
Went to the play area at Ossy Mills. The indoor play area was closed, even though it said it was open?
An energetic hour was passed playing on the log assault course round the back of the mill, in the gardens. The landscaping has been improved since I last went round there. There are rabbits, ducks and fancy birds, 'gnome island', stepping stones, little bridges, plenty of seating, and it's all free!
A walk round Foxhill nature reserve to feed the birds, topped off our morning.
Total cost- one small loaf.
