You cheeky bar steward Don't remember the pub but of course my roving stopped in '58 or thereabouts - besides I only frequented the better hostelries - Cattle Market, Australian etc .
Did frequent North Pier quite often in my younger days - sort of hors d'ouvres before the passion wagon back to Accrington.
The Ritz was still going in 59/60 as was Bulloughs Club which was down the same entry, but turn right instead of left into the Ritz.
When did the Ritz cinema close?

My guess n thats all it is would be 62/63.

I base me guess on the fact i saw The Cockleshell Heroes yon when i was early teens, n the Ritz wasn't open much longer after that.

The closure is not recorded in the book A Hyndburn Chronology in 1960-63. It might be found in An Accrington Mixture, but I cannot find my copy.
