Aren't any floors for me to sweep, not in my castle on a cloud......
Cool. All we need now are the others.
Do we have a Javert?

Re: What would you be.....
I too fancied being a vet until I realised the sciences were not my best subjects at school. I "flirted" with farming too but, short of marrying a farmer, I knew it was unlikely I'd make much of a career of it.
Strange as it may seem, I liked the idea of the Civil Service from the age of 15 and, for my sins, that's where I ended up. I always had a secret fantasy, though, that one evening I would be at a concert, dance or whatever and the singer (Big Band or Jazz, to my liking) would collapse on stage. Up I would rush, blushing modestly, and say, "Perhaps I can help you out", whereupon I would be "discovered". It never happened so I had to make do with Folk and Jazz Clubs and Whitby Operatic Society.
Incidentally, my other career was wife/mum. I think I was quite good at that.

Re: What would you be.....
I always wanted to be a nurse...and as a small child I would never miss an opportunity to dress up and do the bandaging bit.
It took me quite a while to realise this dream, but realise it I did, and spent 29 very happy years doing a job that I loved.
In some of my fantasies though I would have loved to have been a drama queen...treading the boards...just as long as I didn't have to sing......I can't carry a tune in a bucket.

I always wanted to be a doctor .... but when I finally got my Ph.D., I found out I had become the wrong sort of doctor, and they wouldn't let me cut people open or humiliate them.
Anyone know of somebody who needs a bibliographer .... willing to work for beer

Re: What would you be.....
It was my dream to be a nurse but was not to be as my hearing is not perfect. Would have got a great sense of satisfaction knowing that I was helping people.

Re: What would you be.....
I always wanted to be a biologist, as I loved nature and the outdoors. I've no idea what type of job I'd have done, but I always told people that was what I wanted to be.
Today, I'd have liked to have been a chef. I think I'd have got a lot of pleasure from that.

I have two daughters who fit that bill to the letter 'Drama Queen'.
One is a nursing sister.........She can't sing for toffee.
The other one can sing...and she is very good....Ye but Ye but...when it comes to giving a sob story, I can tell from their opening word....Dad or Da..ad...that there is a problem and I'ts going to cost me....my Granchildren have learned very quickly and I can tell from the opening gambit what's on their mind.

Re: What would you be.....
If hadn't been arty farty, and not done a degree in art, then I would have studied Geography, and would have liked to have worked at the Met Office.
