If men insist on 'kicking' a blown up piece of leather around a sizeable pitch of land, accidents are bound to happen. It is stated, this was his friend for heaven's sake and obviously an accident.
Would empathise with the lad (well, not me like, I'm female) but tell him to go and shake hands with his friend, and to assure him par for the course of embarking on this sport.

It's a "man" thing, Kate, you wouldn't understand.

Well, maybe, LOL (was just a little aside) but still feel my advice was constructive towards his injury and pathetically tried to be helpful towards keeping the peace with his friend.
Sure he has fully recovered, and hopefully they are still friends ... just the parents/grandparents that can carry this on sometimes, don't ya' think ?

afraid you know little about football katex, have seen it in a bounce up in a league match ( Ferguson n Bremner) at ewood, bremer didnt half yelp. if it was an accident - thats life, if the lad punced him on purpose, tell the young un to punce him back in the replay royboy, its not good for kids to think they can get away with it. also if you interfere - the young un will get some real stick off the others- nowt worse than kids for that, know how you feel but keep out is my advice, good luck.
