I don't know what all this fuss is over Rioja; the last bottle I had tasted like a Mexican hooker I used to know. It's the same with the Aussie reds - why, oh why, do they have to bung oak chippings in the vats? I want to taste the fruit, not the inside of some old dog kennel.

I'm just about to start on a Portugese Dao....lovely stuff, but not cheap.

Had a few bottles of Spanish plonk once .... didn't drink the stuff .... used it to try and get the smell out of one of my dogs that had gotten into a skunk fight .... funny thing is, made the dog smell worse
