Does anyone have a wheelchair lying about or not in use for a few weeks/months ?

hospitals dont provide wheelchairs so have no idea how we are to manage except not being able to go shopping or out & about.

Anyone have any ideas without costing the earth please

They do, they have a central loan store at Park Lee Hospital which supplies wheelchairs, bathlifts, zimmer frames and other disability/mobility aids. I think you have to apply through your GP.

Re: Wheelchair

Was going to say, cant believe that all kinds of aids would not be provided, remember a few requests to get stuff back though because people dont return them, ie walking sticks etc.

I was going to say that yerself, but I'm a bit late, I've had one for years was actually made to measure on the orders of the Physio department, but only use it in the Summer months for away days etc.

Re: Wheelchair

Last time I needed one for the child we had to arrange it thru the red Cross and pay a deposit.
