I wanted to do music when I left school and when I left college I wanted to do art. Both are seen as useless (no offence to Garinda) and so I am doing law instead.

from what I read in other threads it seems you should be studying your koran and ironing your jibjab/burqa ........nothing like a freshly ironed burqa to impress a mullah

I would happily be a housewife and do all the cooking, cleaning, ironing and all that. As long as I am happy and healthy I'm not bothered what I end up doing. Would happily take a nice muslim man home to my mum.

Someone actually asked me last week if I was middle eastern...

No husband of mine would marry a fatty. Unless she was a good cook, then thats ok... however I think have many wives is a bit old fashioned now and the 'good' men stick to just one. I don't know why they'd want more than one anyway. I nag my boyfriend to death, bet he couldn't cope with more than one of me.

I thought the brides family paid the dowry? I'd rather have 50 goats than 4 camels though.

Re: When you were younger...

I wanted to be a ballerina but I wasn't tall enough.

I did not want to teach, but ended up doing so and enjoyed it.
As a teenager I wanted to write for a living and now I run my own community paper.

Strange how things work out

I wanted to be a chef in the army! Got hitched up and married instead, whilst qualifying for plumbing and heating, changing trends have depicted that I work more on gas and central heating than water works though, and can't remember the last window or gutter I fitted.
