where do you want your ashes scattered

Maybe it's a bit morbid .....but I think most folks these days would favour their "cre-mains" being scattered in some favourite place instead of being under 6 ' of dirt up on Burnley Rd or where ever Accy Crematorium/ corporation disposes of the uncollected ashes
So the question is where would you like your family /significant others to dump your ashes ........ does it bother you or does it ever enter your mind where the ashes end up ?
Has any Accy-web user told his/her family where they want their ashes scattered ? and why ? and made any provision ?
Would you want them scattered in one place or divided up and scattered in multiple places where you had maybe happy memories ?
OK , I'll go first and say the three places where I would like to be thrown to the winds are ......into the Ocean off Homer Alaska , Persepolis Iran, and over-looking the Golden Gate bridge from the Palace of Legion of Honour in San Francisco .

just curious

I'd like to be scattered off the Donegal coast near a little fishing village called Burtonport.

Do Stanley have any rules about that? I know you can't do it at Burnley (officially).

Burning people is so un-green.
It would be more environmentally friendly if they lobbed dead bodies into power stations or somewhere else where the released energy could be utilised.

Don't think so - I know of at least a couple of times when it's been allowed but I'll find out for sure before I leave instructions for when I shuffle off me mortal coil

Re: where do you want your ashes scattered

There's a very special place to our family, high on Oswaldtwistle moors, and that's were I'll be thrown to the four winds.

My Dad left instruction for his ashes to be scattered in the sea at Saundersfoot. As a family, we went down to our cottage in Pembrokeshire thirteen years ago. It was Easter Sunday, and we planned to go out in my Dad's boat to carry out his wishes, before driving back to Ossy that evening. Sadly none of us had checked the tides, and the boat was moored, and stuck in the mud. We eventually did what we had to do, later in that stormy night. It was really beautiful and moving, and we know my Dad would have been laughing at us all for being too dim to have checked the tides.

Re: where do you want your ashes scattered

when i pop me clogs i want to be cremated and stored untill my children and partner (thats if im still with him) eventually die and then all mixed together as one and scattered somewhere where we all enjoyed

dont want to be buried to rot and have some little critter eating me , then to have my bones removed or have a ruddy motorway built over me!!
space is running out, everyone should be cremated

I haven't really thought about it but wouldn't like to be buried, I dont mind cremation but would like someone to check I'm really dead, wouldn't like to be burned alive . Think it'd be nice for my ashes to be made into a diamond.
