If my memory serves me correctly, in the 1950's early 60's, there was/is a bank on the corner of LittleBlackburn Rd and Peel St next to the Bus Stop for Fern Gore which was Lloyds it had a horse as a symbol. I cannot comment on what Bank it changed to due to my emigration to Australia in April 1964.

It became Frank Ogden's jewellers, not another bank.

Definately Lloyds,me mum had a shop in Burnley Road and she used to take her cash down there on a Friday afternoon,Then when I left school in 64 I was apprentice Plumber and we had to go and fix a burst i the cellar whilst it was a empty buiding before Ogdens took it.
