Re: Who makes the best pies??
If you buy a pie now make sure it has horns sticking out so you know it's a cow pie.
If there are just two big pointed ears don't buy it.
Will anybody buy pies, steak(?) and kidney puddings etc. now?

Re: Who makes the best pies??
Martins, Union Road, Oswaldtwistle - like their meat pies hot with peas and gravy or a cold jellied pie!

Re: Who makes the best pies??
Martin's pies, like Trickett's ice creams, take some licking.

John's Deli on Princess St. ... for steak and kidney, steak and oyster, cheese and onion.
Bread and Butter Bakery on Bath Road also makes great steak and kidney pies.

Re: Who makes the best pies??
For something a little closer What was the name of that little shop on Pickup St. ... close to Barnes Square ... ? They made great pies. Probably not still there of course, but I remember getting pies there every Friday for my grandad.

Time to take a virtual walk down Pickup St. ... sometimes I really love technology ... but not as much as a warm meat pie on a cold damp Friday
