Womens Land Army

Hi
I run a community newspaper in the Blackburn/Ribble Valley area and I would like to run an article on WW2 Womens Land Army Girls

Of course these 'girls' are now women in their late 70's and 80's but for the first time this summer they are to be awarded medals for the contribution they made to the War.

Problem is I do not know any. Does anyone know any women who were in the WLA and who have applied for the medal. Only criteria is that they must have some connection with Blackburn or the Ribble Valley and be prepared to talk to me about their experiences and have their picture published

Thanks
