Would You Put Up With Poor Service
I am receiving bad service from Sky at the moment and feel more than a bit peeved about it. I have phoned them three times and they are trying to make out the fault is where my router is although it was fine there before. Am getting a bit fed up of poor service and will fight for value for my money. Would you put up with service less than acceptable??? Might not be able to read any replies till this time tomorrow because it is my Broadband Connection that is the problem and it is a bit hit and miss these days.

The router was fine until a few days ago and then they changed my connection, not putting up with any more crap off internet providers. I pay for a service and it should be delivered

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
We have had bad customer service from Sky! promising the world (or at least the sky!) and then delivering nothing!, they say anything you want to hear to get you to sign but then once the deal is commited they change their minds!
Bad customer service from: Sky, British Gas, Norwich Union they must be the worst ones because they are the only ones i can think of right away!
If you can do somthing about it Bernadette then go for it girl!

Where is your router?
What problems are you getting with your broadband?
Are you wireless or wired?
Are you loosing your wireless network connection or just your internet access?

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
To answer the original question - no I don't put up with poor service. I am probably thought of as a grumbler and a moaner but if you pay for something then you expect to get it and if you don't get it you expect to get it fixed or get a refund. Why should you pay for a service you are not getting?

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
In general I won’t put up with poor service or shoddy goods and we should complain when things go wrong otherwise we will continue to get bad service.
As for Internet issues and even things like TV’s the first reaction from the vendor is, it is all your fault. Then they try to baffle you with science to prove their claim.
Several years ago I bought a new TV and when I got it home I discovered that the text on Ceefax and Teletext was corrupted. Naturally I took it straight back only to hear the manageress declare the problem lies with my aerial.
Standing my ground, after establishing the Ceefax and Teletext on the display TV’s was perfect, I persuaded their technician to connect the TV to the shop aerial and guess what? Ceefax and Teletext was corrupted.
“So your aerial is duff too is it?” I declared.
The manageress turned bright red, stormed away shouting over her disappearing shoulder, “Give him his money back.”

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
No I will not put up with poor services either, or being ripped off, have BT Broadband, had it for 16 months only had two problems and they were sored out within minutes, and by service for line, calls and BB is costing me around £95 a quarter, before I was on AOL dial up, and with BT costs on top I was paying about £125 quarter

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
NO I won't but up with bad service. When we were with sky, any bad weather would knock our signal anything from 1 day to 5 days!! What was I paying for?? Hence why I am with BT now....for everything, and never had any problem with BT broadband or BT vision box.

How can it be Sky's fault for your dish being out of line? Unless they set it up wrong

You just answered your own question.
My best mates hubby is also an aerial rigger and sky engineer, he looked at the dish and said it is in the right position!!!
Ask anyone around here, and they all get the same!! If we get rain, we lose our sky television.
I will not be going back to sky.

Re: Would You Put Up With Poor Service
Unless you are an owner occupier you may not have the option to have it placed in a good position for best reception.
In summer my sky signal is affected by foliage from nearby tall trees.
In winter is is affected by snow and heavy rain.
I dont pay a sky subscription so I don't feel cheated.
My tv has freeview built in, which I switch to when the sky signal fails.

I fitted a Sky dish to one of those HH flats near you. I fitted it correctly so it worked
I thought some of those flats had a communial dish, does yours? Do you pay for it even if you dont use it? I think you pay for your aerial as well don't you?
