Accrington today.

Visited Accrington whilst on holiday in the UK. Loved our visit but him indoors was most upset at the state of some of the buildings that had played a big part in his long ago (maybe ill-spent - I'm not asking and he's not telling) youthful years, especially the Con Club - beautiful building that it once was. Had great times there. Also that the rail outside the Town Hall he and his mate used to lean on as they watched the girls go by on a Saturday night, giving them the eye and vice versa, is no more. Let me tell you that an old bloke leaning on a walking stick is just not the same thing. Didn't earn a glance.

Re: Accrington today.

OOPS! I'm not looking for anyone Benipete but thanks for asking - bit of a misunderstanding re the thread 'subject' it was put under I think so you are right Atarah. I didn't actually nominate it to be included in Lost Friends and Family - but had thought it might go under a general Accrington comment section. Sorry if I was unclear about this - blame jet lag or something.. I'll do better next time, hopefully.
