Re: BROCKHALL HOSPITAL 1960s
Hi, I worked at Brockhall from 1965 to 1970 in the path. lab, always travelling by motorbike as the busses took ages via Blackburn. Phillip Grindrod was the boss and others working there then included Bill Briggs. I can still recite the names of the male and female wards with flower and tree names going round in alphabetical order. An Austrian psychiatrist called Kratter was the medical Director. My father (Percy Beswick) worked there for 25 years (about 1956 to 1974) and was a charge nurse on Firwood. He started the public sector union (NUPE then) and was branch secretary for years. I also knew Mick Morgan.

Re: BROCKHALL HOSPITAL 1960s
hello Alan!
if you 'belted out' Jimmy Ruffin's great number 'What becomes of the lonely hearted' whilst pub crawling, driving around the Ribble Valley circa 1965 - who would have been your fellow passenger??
ME of course
Martin Briggs
Get in touch Alan for a good chinwag
(who stuck the effigy of Charlie Yungbluth on the top of the water tower in the Brockhall grounds - did 'they' ever find out??)
