I should probaby speak up here. At the end of the day, I think the court was quite capable of making the right decision with the scenario and I think although the decision wasn't what anyone wanted, I dont think its fair to lay the blame on the other person.
My mum did very well for me without a dad and there isnt anything in the world to blame her for, especially not a courts decision!

I think everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves but there isnt need to give them repeated chances. My mum let the decision fall into someone elses hands and they chose what they thought was right, so she left it at that. At least I didnt have to go through it all when I can remember it properly, because I dont want to know every single bad detail.
I'd rather just make up my own mind. I'm not a little baby now, im 18 years old and I think i'm now capable of making my own mind up.

Sometimes it takes a long time to realise that mistakes were made......and no man is lessened by admitting that he made mistakes.
Your daughter will make up her own mind about you and your motives...as she sees them....you just have to trust that her decisions will be the right ones for both of you.
It may not be until she has children herself that she really understand the complexities of marriage and children and the things that can, and do go wrong....with often very painful consequences.
I wish both of you good luck in trying to mend and renew relationships.

She could have at least given me the chance to see you in a contact center. It would have been a safe environment with visits closely watched by professionals. Instead she went for the jugular!

Maybe it was the best for me to not have to be aware of a split family. My mum chose what she thought was best for me and it didnt kill anyone. I dont feel bad about not being able to see you because I did fine without you.
You just have to get over it because its in the past, complaining about it and pointing out possibilities wont change the past anyway so theres no point dwelling on it.

And that folks is the end of it. We'll make history instead of dwelling on it!

I remember quite a lot of violence in the relationship toward michelles mother from yourself. Maybe that convinced the courts not to allow you access. Better safe than sorrow

Maybe you should PM me with your thoughts. You remember nothing but what you were told. How sure are you that when you hear one side of a story that you are getting the truth? Give me a percentage!

At least you were (wo)man enough to own up to it. I'm glad that karma doesn't worry me too much. I'm sure that someone will give me some good. Some people have already (Thanks for that, much appreciated).
