I moved to Clayton when I married some 40 years ago....gosh that makes me feel old. Yes, you were Miss Croston then, and most of the boys of 2B had a crush on you....though I'm not sure if you knew.

Aah, it is good to be remembered......but is that because I was very naughty...or very good. No....better not answer that last question.

No, my friend Christine worked at the police station for years and then on the switchboard at the council.

Course, could have been my friend Joyce or June .. certainly knew you lived up top of Dill Hall Lane way as 'said' friend (well not sure which one yet!) mentioned this quite often.

Doing my head in now .. will have to have a ring around.

Welcome to Accyweb by the way.

Re: Contact from people who remember me

Not that I remember and my husband doesn´t but it is an unusual name so there may be a connection. Actually the name isn´t so unusual--- whilst researching at the Mormon church in Chorley, we came across thousands of Chaffers in Canada and the States.

When were you at Peel Park, Anne? My sisters and brother all went there, but I feel that I was there too late to know you. I left in 1977, but my siblings are much older than me

lindsay ormerod - glad to hear your Dad is still going strong (that sounds a bit strange now I've typed it, but I meant well by it).
