Re: Hollins

Hey Suebardo, You must of been a bit brainier than me then.Do you remember going to the annex at Woodnook primary in our first year & that evil headmaster Mr Nutter. I can see him now with his adolf hitler comb over & mrs meals (meals on wheels) was our year teacher.

Re: Hollins

I started Hollins in 1977. It well confused me on the first day when I mistakedly went in the boys yard instead of the girls yard, that was really embarassing. Mr Bacon, Mr Cross, Mr Vizzard (remember learning the barn dancing for the Christmas parties) oh what memories!!!

I remember Mr Nutter. Scared me to death. I remember him walking around holding the cane behind his back.

Believe me crowey looks can be deceiving........I know a lot of kids who go to hollins now and they are anything but posh.....the uniform is nice though.

Re: Hollins

From what I have seen taking my daughter to school at Hollins, most of the kids coming out of the houses up there are in St Chris's uniform.

It ain't posh and we moved over to get my daughter in to Hollins, but it is a good school.

I recall the metalwork teacher ..he used a big lump of wood to whack us
and the French teacher Mr Haydock..he used a size 12 pump with a smiley face drawn on it!
