Re: hollins county high school

I left in '90 (crikey it feels not that long ago)- used to hang around with Paula Smith, Debbie Richardson, Claire Walmsley, Claire Burrows, Claire Maudsley (lot of Claire's in my year!)Pamela Hitchen, - lads Martin Slattery, Chris Slattery, Andrew Radcliffe - my brothers were also in the same year - Ian and John... Hollins some great teachers - Witchy Whiteside (English), Mr Halstead (Geography) Mr Mckeown (History) 'Hot Dog' Morley ( Music) and some who shall remain forever etched in my brain as those who made school life a little harder(gotta watch what I say due to libel laws!) - ah the infamous Mr Nutter and the champion of cross country misery - Miss Cooper! School days - some great times...

Re: hollins county high school

Were you in the same year as Anthony Hammond? I'm trying to get hold of his sister, Elaine.

I remember you hun, I was friends with your brothers too. Don't know if you'll remember me though, I used to hang round with Fiona Platt alot.
How are Ian and John? Don't see 'em around much anymore.

BTW, your related to my sister-in-law, Susan, can't remember in what way though!!

Hiya - yep I remember you - John just completed his Master's degree I think it was in criminal psychology - and Ian is a foreman at a print finishers - don't see a lot of John but when i come back to Accy - I'm virtually joined at the hip to Ian 'Skank'! Susan is my cousin - her late father Keith who died earlier this year was my uncle and brother to my late father...Those school years at Hollins seems like yesterday...where have all the years gone...most of them for me were spent in the Hope! lol

Correct Miss Cooper did retire from teaching last year but she came back this year as a mentor, bet mentors earn more than teachers.
