P.S. If anyone can help me, but doesn´t wish to compromise themselves or talk about this situation in 'public', I would be happy to enter into private correspondence with them.. Thank you again.

I went to visit her, and actually met Teresa´s father, who just visited for a day or two when he heard that Teresa had been born, but he promptly returned to Ireland. Well, to cut a long story short, Mary lived with Teresa in a home for unmarried mothers and their babies in Blackburn and then in Manchester, but eventually she decided to have the baby adopted, as she felt that she had no means to support her and her parents were never told, as she was sure that they would disown her, so they were unable to help either..(Mary had planned to be a nun before meeting her handsome Irish boyfriend; she was that kind of religious and kind person). A couple from Accrington adopted Teresa sometime in either late 1959 or 1960 and we lost touch with Mary shortly after Teresa was adopted. I came to live in Mexico and recently after hearing about all the changes in the adoption laws, I have been wondering if Mary and Teresa were ever reunited...Does this story sound familiar to anybody? If so, please contact me, as I would love to know what happened and if there was a happy ending for poor sad Mary.
Many thanks in advance.
