Matthews Family

I'm trying to trace the family(ies) of Mary Elizabeth Matthews and/or Nellie Matthews.

Mary was in service at "Glen Wold" on Queens Rd, Accrington in 1911,

Nellie was in service at "Hammerby" also on Queens Rd in 1911.

Mary was born abt 1889 in St. Martins, Shropshire.
Nellie was born abt 1895 in Castledawn Wales (sic). The nearest I can find to "Castledawn" is Castle Down, St Brides Major, Glamorgan.

I've found this family in the 1891 census living in Abram, Wigan, Lancs:-
Charles & Ellen Matthews had 3 kids, John (6), Mary Elizabeth (3) and Ernest (1 mth). Ellen & John were born in Wales, Mary Elizabeth in Shropshire and Ernest in Abram.

Could this connect the two families?

Other census searches haven't shown any results.
