Seen Tony on stanley earlier this season, though its some months ago, probably before christmas. Lived in Rishton last time I spoke to him

Is it terry beardsworth you mean?and did his mum and dad live on belfield rd,and he was the oldest of 4 kids?I use to live on royds st at that time.

Yes you are right, he was called Beardsworth., I knew he had a younger sister but didn't know any of his family apart from his dad. Since this post I have found out that he has passed away. I lived on Royds st 1966 to 1968. Number 76.

Did Tez marry a girl from Haslingden Mog?

Dont think so Dave, he married a lass from of Royds street area. Cant think of her name but she worked at Higham Mill with Maureen Wallace, Irene Southworth, to name just a couple. They married March 67. Then had twins. Paul and Paula after the song. Last saw him in 1968. He was a bit of a rebel but he was always ok with me.

I lived at no 23,opposite Marys off licence and margarats grocers was on the other corner until late 69 when we moved to blackburn.

Terry was a great guy,he use to be very good with us as was the rest of his family.
He died in 68 or 69 and yes he did take his own life,I remember it clearly.

Yes you are right,he was in and out of the nick quite often but no doubt he was still a great guy.

Yes Mog I remember Joyce now.... the mists of time....
Tez ended up at our house one late night with this bird from Haslingden.after a (err) bed for the night. I thought he went on to marry her.
