Peter Firth of Manor St

I have been asked to help find an Accrington chap by a relative of his whom he may not know because of an adoption in the family.

Peter Firth had middle names of Charles Mainprize. He lived with his mother and stepfather at 36 Manor st from 1964 (20ys old)to 1985.(40yrs) He had earlier lived in Middlesex and Harrogate.

Can anyone add to this knowledge?

Re: Peter Firth of Manor St

I remember a Peter Firth from years ago who lived just down from Alice Street, on Manor Street but doubt if the house number was as low as 36.

I have learned that a Peter Firth, who may have been the one being sought, used to hang around Church with a chap called Snowy. No further info. This is any date between mid-60s to mid-80s. Can anyone add to this?

Still looking for Peter Firth. Have learned that his Mum was called Phyllis . She married James Thomas Barton in 1966. He died before her, she died in 1982.

The Snowy I know in Church is a much younger man than the one being sought. In fact he was at the meet late last year when he and his wife supplied the buffet for Mez's daughter's party.
Snowy is a common nickname for men who have gone grey early - don't think he is much more than 40

Re: Peter Firth of Manor St

The Snowy I referred to (in a PM to Bob Dobson) used to walk around with an Alsation dog. There were a few characters around at that time in the mid 70's and this Snowy was well known in Church and Accrington areas.

Re: Peter Firth of Manor St

Someone in Church will know Snowy with the alsation. He was one of those characters who was always around. Why not contact some of the pubs and see if any of the regulars can shed any light on him. I didn't really know him but knew of him, if you understand my logic.
