RAF Blue Stars

This is a long shot but worth taking………..

Does anyone out there have any recollections, knowledge or photographs of an RAF Dance Band called the “Blue Stars” formed during the early 1950s, possibly out at RAF Changi or RAF Seletar Singapore? The band often played at the Raffles Hotel and had played before the Queen c.1954.

I would like to hear of any survives of the Band and anyone who served out there that may have know of the band.

Re: RAF Blue Stars

Thanks Cashy, I'll check out the link. I've sent out a couple of e-mails to people who were serving during the Emergency and in Singapore around the time. All of the Band where serving RAF personal on Active Service. I know that someone in Accrington, Blackburn or Burnley may have photographs of the Band through a family connection, but I'm looking to contact former members of the Band who maybe in their 70s now.
