Free: Compost Bin

Offering for free, one of those black, moulded compost bins. Complete with lid.

I don't really produce enough garden waste to make this useful, but if anyone can make use of it, it's yours.

Re: Free: Compost Bin

I use mine as a holder for my blue bag outside, stops it getting wet through or blowing away

That's a bit of a misconception to be honest. If you put a piece of chicken wire across the bottom of the container, nothing can get inside it. If you keep it on a hard surface and not loose earth, grass, etc, nothing can get inside even without the chicken wire.

I'm coming over to Accrington on Saturday, so if anyone wants it, I'll even bring it over for you.

Re: Free: Compost Bin

Isn't teh whole point that you put them on soil so the worms can get in and do their business turning your left overs into compost?

But you can add your own worms. Just put chicken wire across the bottom and it'll be fine.

No takers by Saturday and I'll dump it.
