Re: furniture needed, cheap or free!
Have you tried Freecycle? Plenty of people give away good furniture they no longer need. Definitely worth a try.

Re: furniture needed, cheap or free!
I have a very comfortable chair. It would be fine with a cheap throw over on it. You would need a small van or estate car to collect and we are in Wilpshire Blackburn

Re: furniture needed, cheap or free!
You could also try ringing Maundy Relief. They help people on benefits etc I think. Might be worth a try.

Re: furniture needed, cheap or free!
Exactly. When I went the stuff was disgusting and I wouldn't set foot in the place again. I'm far from a snob but I wouldn't have let my dog sleep on the stuff I saw.
Did you ring up and complain? Surely if you paid for the stuff then they should have brought it??

Re: furniture needed, cheap or free!
I think its quite unfair if you're complaining about the quality of stuff from HUFS. They are a charity and selling used items for an extremely good price. They cannot control the items that are donated. There are many used furniture stores that operate as a business and make much more profit.
The items that were missing, well yes, that is a problem but if they were replaced, then thats something.
I do think credit should go to places like this that do help people, and I know many people that were extremely happy and grateful to HUFS.
