The Laptop will make an excellent Homework, Office or Internet machine. As well as a personal DVD player.
It can even play some old games, I’ve Played Tomb raiders 2, 3 & 4 It would also play Tomb raider chronicles if it were compatible with Windows XP.
My Wife has had this laptop for nearly 2 years, it has never let her down.
Included in this sale is a T-series port replicator / Docking station, which has an extra ultrabay and a PCI slot plus 2 PCMCIA slots. VGA and DVI outputs, mouse and keyboard ports. And 2 Keys. (you can screw the dock to a desk and lock the laptop in it for security.)
I have just done a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 and updated everything. You could install Linux if you wish. I tried Linspire about 12 months ago, without problems, (apart from the user).
Things you need to be aware of.
There is a small crack on the palm rest, the battery does not last long, about 5 – 10 minutes (enough to move from room to room). On starting up the screen has a red tinge, but this goes normal within a few seconds. None of these problems stop the laptop from functioning as it should.
I'm sure everyone will agree when I say an absolute bargain at £75
