Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

Brand new chrome inset gas fire for sale.

Bought as a package, but the missus decided she wanted brass in the front room!

So this fire is in the box and unopened.

The same fire is for sale in the ARGOS catologue for 120 Quid.

I will take 70 pounds for it. No offers thanks.

Anybody interested can call me on 07891 236167.

Re: Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

this may sound daft mate but why not just go to a shop that sells gas fires ( viva gas, the fireplacewarehouse etc..) and buy a brass trim and front ? - these can be bought seperatley - this I know for a fact.

Re: Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

I"m with you on your idea... But the certain fire mentioned is far superior to the one we HAVE put in...

The fire is modern, stylish and not compatable(like most fires are to another brand!)

Just tryin to save anyone who's gonna buy one quite a few quid

Re: Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

50% net efficiency. How can they make gas fire so inefficient ( and they all are ) yet central heating boilers have to be in the 90% plus figure?
Opps thread wonder sorry.

Re: Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

because you different types of gas fire -
you have those that are there to give back up heat to central heating but there main purpose is to look nice in the living room ( a focal point if you like) like the one in the picture and you have those that are the main source of heat and that also look nice.
taking nothing away from the one up for grabs - 3.1kw in a living room will heat the room and you very well - and to be honest how many people have their gas fire on just now rather than their central heating and if you do how long do you have it on for ? - the main reason people buy gas fires is because they will look nice in that particular room - they know it will give heat - thats whay there are so many different choices when it comes to chosing a fire, surround, marble etc....
and boilers have to be in the 90% cos they are working the whole house - the small gas fire is only for 1 room hence the 3.1kw

Re: Inset Chrome Gas Fire(New)

Looking at the closer picture, the one i have avaliable is almost identical.

If you look at the front grate it is in black, the one i have is in chrome so it does look a lot better than the one at Argos!

p.s. thanks to glasgow guy and mick respectivly.
