Walking Stick?

Anyone got a spare walking stick they don't need?
My backs gone again and I could do with something to assist me until it clicks back in place.
I'm just about to hobble down to the Railway to meet Mick, so if you have one and can drop it off I'll get you a pint in, ta.

Less, my Ma has an umbrella stand full of the darn things, but you need one that is right for your height....how tall are you?
If you don't manage to get one by Monday I will see her and check out what she has.

Thanks for that, I'm just tall enough for my feet to reach the ground, though the way my spine is bending at the moment, my nose is scraping along very close to them.

If no improvement by Monday I will be trying for an appointment at the quacks, (though by the time I get such a rare event I'm sure all will be well).

Re: Walking Stick?

Less, it was a serious question..........a stick that is too short is NBG.
Any way,I think you are right to contemplate taking the opinion of a professional......your GP.

Thanks for your effort, including trying to ring railway, I was back home by 2 in the afternoon, so I wouldn't have been there.
I've no idea what size stick I need so will leave it for now thank you.

Yes Cashy, now the NHs supply adjustable ones....aluminium with holes in, that you extend and then put the little metal peg in..........in the old days you just used to chop a bit off the bottom...if you chopped off too much, then you had to go out and brak anothe branch off the tree

Just a quick word about my trip down to the Railway yesterday.
As we all know it was a touch cool weatherwise so I had put my Stanley scarf on, as I was struggling bent over double, towards the toilets, a 'wag' that had seen both my discomfort & the scarf quipped, "you won't see much from the stands leaning over like that!".

I raised my head from the ground and replied, "I never get a good view from the stands".
"Oh and why is that?" asked the joker.
"Because", I replied, "I'm always on the pitch, I'm their star player".
I think he believed me.
