you should have said, they don't usually like the type I posted.
They are usually 13.8v as well and not 12v and 3amp should be fine unless it is an older naughty one

I thought is was pretty quiet on there now.
I have a few lying around and almost got one out the other week when it was mentioned by a very old friend (old friend as in I have known her about 25 years  )
