Re: A cause for....apathetic disinterest?

I was just being a bit 'fly'.
What will we do for excitement next summer....no olympics, no jubilee celebrations....it is going to seem pretty dull.

I just felt a bit sorry for the Queen yesterday......I hope she had her damart vest on. I'm sure she must've been frozen to the marrow.......draughty and wet on the Thames.
Not the way I would want to celebrate my diamond jubilee.....I would have looked out of the window and said 'let's do it another day'.

That's what we said too, about her hopefully having a thermal vest on. It was bitter.

I've gone back into vests, and the fire's on.

As for excitment, once all this year's brouhaha's died down.

We'll still have a full programme of community art events happening in Hyndburn.

So we'll still have that to look forward to, and get all giddy about.

Think I'd try that as an excuse too.

If I faced having to listen to Dames Elton and Cliff, trill out a combined century of their greatest hits.

Waterworks! - on Sunday he had drips at the other end - from his nose.

I distinctly saw him remove a glistening drop with his white kid glove.

Now that's class for you - us plebs all know that sleeves are more common.

I was wondering where Princes Edward, and Andrew were sat, to watch the spectacular event.

She already said she did, with the sound off.

Best way to watch the later Carry On films.

Carry On Golden Showers wasn't one of the better films.

By chance just switched on SKY news to see all these folk singing along to "Your song" while they wait for a beacon to be lit -seems its all brilliant and fantastic, great atmosphere...and God Save the Queen made me cringe ...

Are they lighting a beacon on The Coppice tonight or will it be Pendle Hill?

OMG they're singing Crocadile Rock now...from bad to worse. Bring out Sir Cliff with "Summer Holiday" and 't jobs a good 'un!!
