a cupboard in Kensington
OK so it says studio flat - "Homes Under the Hammer" but I can't work out how you get to the ledge where you're supposed to sleep.

Re: a cupboard in Kensington
Don't know if anybody else saw it but the 'flats' were tiny - just about half the size of a garage with one corner boxed off for the loo and shower and above that a ledge for sleeping on but no clue as to how to get up to it. By the window was what looked like a normal sink unit with double cupboard but one side was actully the fridge and on top of that was a twin burner hob and that was the only cooking facility. Opposite this unit was enough room for a small settee but nothing more so nowhere to put a table to eat off.
The area apparently used to be the back end of the landing where the stairs turned to go up to the next floor! at least the developers installed a ladder so the potential buyer could get up to bed!

There were 2 of them and they went at auction for £180,000 for the pair which I suppose is a snip for someone with no clothes or furniture who wants to live in Kensington. The postal address might sound good.

Re: a cupboard in Kensington
Yesterday it was announced that for the first time ever the average price of a property has risen to over £100,000 in every county in the country.
Was initally a bit confused with this thread, as I thought you were trying to sell us something.

I'd have put it in Buy, Sell and Swap if I was - I'm still trying to unload a table and 4 chairs. Can't cope with selling a whole cupboard!

Re: a cupboard in Kensington
I suppose 180,000 isn't bad for Kensington, but you couldn't really live in such a small space.

No, it was definitely smaller than our caravan!

Re: a cupboard in Kensington
Interesting that everyone expects Dim Goodey out tonight. As Rindy said earlier we live in a strange country whose inhabitants mind's seem more warped by the day, so will she be evicted ? Watch this space

Re: a cupboard in Kensington
I think you're in the wrong thread Dave - unless Jade has been chucked off by BB and is now squatting in one of those flats in Kensington.
