Wink A Fair in Accy...

In May, we will be having a change of Mayors....out goes Councillor Miles Parkinson (WHO?) and in comes Councillor Janet Storey

To celebrate this grand occasion, Hyndburn Council are organising a fair to be held in Broadway for the benefit of residents. Our resident council mouthpiece says: "People are very proud of their Mayor in Hyndburn--whoever is in the role is always in demand. What we are aiming to do is create a weekend where we celebrate the mayoraltry and all that is good in the borough"

Britcliffe adds: "As part of that we are bringing a fair into Broadway and one of the rides we are getting is brand new and is one of only four that exist in the world which is very exciting"

The council are remaining tight-lipped about what residents can expect from this new ride but as it is being transported from Milan, I have managed to track it down and managed this photo. I hope all you Accy webbers appreciate the great pains I went through to get this picture......

Well lets face it, there isn't any council in the world that can take us for a ride like ours!

The fair isn't but the rides are. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised to see the first one. It looks about right.

Re: A Fair in Accy...

Would prefare to go on the first ride than the second one.

Makes me laugh, when the council says they are bringing a fair to broadway. They aren't exactly paying for it are they. Or are the rides free? (lol) Doubt it very much. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they are actually renting the space to whoever owns the rides.

Re: A Fair in Accy...

all i can say is 'what are they after?' Tho i can imagine the pandamonium in town for this supossed amazing ride that probably cost a fiver a go call me sceptical but why the fuss? i was rather annoyed with the carnival based a Peel Park with the admission charges....flippin cheek! n then u get in there to be charged a fortune to go on rides n use the facilities Gee cheaper to go Blackpool for day.
