At least you will have the house how you want it after you have redecorated every room after walls chased out for new cable.

Make sure you get a certificate proving building regs part 'P' compliance. You will not be able to sell your house in a few years without it. On that point your electrician has to be part p registered to do your rewire. If he is not you will be in breech of building regs. This came in on the 1st Jan 2005.
