Less did you report the theft to the police?
And are you insured.....you may be able to make a claim for a new one.
I know you said the door was undone, but thieves have been known to rob places whilst the owner was on the premises......and if that was the case then maybe you would get your claim OK'd.

think you will need a crime reference number from the police to give to your insurers.im not a lawyer but i do know that

Absolutely spot on, the only trouble is you may just get one over the telephone rather than when you get a home visit

That wasn't my point. Less said if someone tries to sell them a camera of a certain description then ring him, rather than ring the police.

If I was offered a camera to buy of that description, I wouldn't be ringing Less even though I knew it would likely be his, I'd ring the police first and let them know why I suspect it was stolen and then it would be the police's job to ring Less surely?

Never mind.
