actually the ticket office used to be on the other side,under a larger covered area that that bloody rabbit hutch they have now, also 5 platforms with a direct line to manchester, wynonie is correct, its the "WORST" station inthe country for a town of our size. anyone who thinks accy station does not need improving is either blind or never seen it.
 the only real question is why has there been no consultation with local commuters n the like.

I remember when it was a proper station with the ticket office on the side where they are going to put it again. It had waiting rooms and covers over the platforms and loos and everything.

I think it's a good idea to move the facilities to the otherside of the track, that's always the busiest side.
Any improvements must be, well, an improvement.
