Accrington in the news.

Accrington Stanley have just won promotion back into the Football League, after forty four years in the wilderness.

Although this is a football story, the publicity can only be positive for the whole town.

As a kid...I used to watch Stanley from a precarious position on top of a back fence at the ground.......it,s great to see them back.......

I've never really been a football fan but when I was a child Stanley was just "our team". I'm so pleased for the club and for the town.

I raised more than a few glasses to there return and might have to go to my local and see if they will still let me in after yesterdays celebrations.

Stanley R Back!!!

Ive been watching stanley for 6 years now. my first game was when stanley got beat 4-1 against staleybridge at the crown ground. I allways dreamt of seeing stanley getting back in the league and now its happened!!!
