Some of the indoor Market traders have looked into rasing the capital , but it is out of their reach, then there are ongoing costs etc and loan repayments, just not viable.
 The Head lease is what is up for grabs so it is supposed to be a case of someone taking over the lease, which is I believe 125 years. There has been an interest shown from 17 groups of people. This is now short listed to around 6 / 7 and they have to put froward their plans for refurbishment etc of the Market Hall and the running of the outside market. With regard to opening up upstairs again, it has to be carefully looked at for full access to all visitors, so that means a lift possibly being installed. These are very interesting and worrying times ahead |
