Accrington Pals dramatisation
Advance notice
Oswaldtwistle Players and BBC Radio Lancashire are collaboratin to produce a radio dramatisation of the famous Accrington Pals play. It will be broadcast on 1st July which is the 90th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme.

Anyone! You wouldn't believe how some people try to take all the credit for other people's work sometimes!

You don’t think there’s a touch of paranoia there Gayle do you, are you sure this diet isn’t having an adverse affect or something. Maybe a bit of game pie and chips will help………..

Is there a rival troop called the Oswaldtwistle Mummmers?
The Council?
The Germans?

Don't call us we'll call you.
Perhaps they have you penned in as a friendly, French tart, with a heart of gold, or expect you to drag up as a soldier.

Re: Accrington Pals dramatisation
Sorry Katex - I've apologised by pm as well but thought a public apology necessary as well.
I set everything up with BBC Radio Lancs then went back to the committee to see if they were interested in us doing it. As producer I asked if they would have any objections if I put together the cast of the 1993 production when we did it. The rest of the committee didn't object so that's what I've done with a couple of additions to replace a few members who have sadly either passed away or simply left the society in that time.
Wasn't a deliberate slight to Katex as she's a fab actress.
