Many, many years ago, I was suffering with a very bad cold....himself made me a hot drink with whisky in it.......I asked him if he was trying to poison me and claim the insurance money.
Hate the stuff...poison...nearly as bad as haggis and porridge.

Obviously no Scots heritage then Margaret!

I love all three... but can't find any Macs on my family tree.

Try the coat hanger (or if you're being posh, The Garderobe)

I have tried all three....and with Haggis I broke one of my cardinal rules in life....never put something you don't like the look of, into your mouth.
Even the thought of that event, gives me the dry heaves.......but I do have a very sensitive gag reflex.......selective too(not activated by poo...vomit...sputum)....I put the selectivity down to the many years in nursing.

A shame... I really look forward to the Burns night meal - haggis neeps and tatties - washed down with a wee dram - or two. Not long to wait now, 25 Jan, and my haggis is in the freezer.

Very droll Dave but wouldn't want to look in the garderobe in a medieval castle...

If that is what floats your boat .....then enjoy.
I don't mind the neeps and tatties...but the rest...can I leave it on the side of my plate...or feed it to the dog under the table?

Of the three -only like porridge!

Whiskey if medicinal (but prefer brandy)...

Haggis - yuk!

Porridge...eeeeewwwww! Wallpapaer paste would probably taste just as good with a bit of sugar sprinkled on it.
I know it is good for you...so is cod liver oil......so is yoghurt....and I don't like them either.

Porridge is delicious with Golden Syrrup on it Margaret -you don't know what you're missing....

Luckily we can now get a full range of cereals in Italy including Quaker oats. When i first moved over here Weetabix and All-bran were only available in the Chemist's as dietary products and cost a fortune!

Don't let a Scot hear you say that Margaret... got to be salt, not sugar!
