That reminded me. At one time my late husband and I both had a habit of saying "Oh dear" for no reason at all so we decided we would try to avoid doing so and tell each other when we noticed the other saying it.

Then one day he dropped something and said "Oh dear!" which he followed by saying "Oh dear, I just said 'oh dear'". My reply to that was "Oh dear!" followed by "Oh dear, now I've just said 'oh dear'"

my mat says that all the time too,you dont work in a care home do you?

my hubby always says 'dude',i have to tell him that it sounds funny for a man his age to say dude,my word it 'aw right yes' , and i cant seem to stop saying it

I'm Canadian; so I say "eh" all the time, probably even after I snore. But I have noticed that among the young people "like" seems to infect every sentence.
