and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
Tpuc.org Forum • View topic - Arrested by Lancaster Corporate Police
be warned its a LONG(but funny) read
for those of short attention span -
bloke out for drive, stopped by Police and turns off fog lights at plod request , then gets into protracted argumant with Plod resulting in night in cells plus more
current position he's been fined 485 quid and is refusing to acknowledge the right of the courts to fine him.
Its sort of funny in a how to make friends and influence people sort of way.

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
I don't understand what he was getting at with the whole 'human being' bit but he certainly had a point about the ID card. The police themselves keep telling us that we should check ID cards when people come to the door or approach us - I think he was quite right to ask for identification.

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
It is obvious to me that he is a 'Freeman on the Land'
INTRODUCTION to the FREEMAN on the Land CONCEPT
It is a campaign against overuse of police powers and frivolous taxation

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
the copper should have smashed his foglights with his batton to prevent him from using them when not needed again
i have no sympathy for him on the basis that hes obviously a moron for using fog lights when not needed
i woudlnt say he was a freeman but merely an a$$hole
i also think hes a down right liar as i highly doubt a police officer would tell somone to turn off their fog lights in foggy conditions
just another incosiderate a$$hole blinding other people so his car can look pretty
edit:
does jambutty have a driving licence , this guys arrogance is just too familiar

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
Too much heavy handed policing has caused many to try to find ways to stop it.

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
Sounds like another member of the 'I know my rights' brigade. Many of us have been stopped by the police and been asked the questions and wanted to argue the toss but have more sense. A few yes Sirs and No Sirs and you are on your way again.
I don't have a problem giving my name to someone who is obviously a police officer as I have nothing to hide.
Am I right or wrong?
Well I am 485 beer tokens better off than the subject of this thread - you decide.

Sorry, it was me that called it an ID card - he did ask for a warrant card.

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
Just finished reading about something vaguely similar in the local rag: The OPP pulled over a vehicle on the 401; and there in the car was 35k of coke .... that's a lot of blow, way over personal use. The guy was arrested and convicted; but he appealed all the way to the Supreme Court which decided, in a 6-1 decision that the coppers, because they had no valid reason for pulling over the car, had flagrantly breached the suspects constitutional rights. Don't think he got his blow returned to him.

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
What a twerp! My first thought, on reading the post, was that there's something wrong with his mental health. On second thought, no, he's just a silly b*gger. I would like to bet he has a small, straggly moustache, wears sandals with socks and speaks with a "strangulated" tenor voice.

bet he also has a cushion on the drivers seat so he can see over the steering wheel and to top it off drives an audi of some sort

Re: and I thought Accyweb had some awkward buggers....
i could understand it if the copper was in plain clothes and in an unmarked car and to carry on his arrogance when at teh actual police station was just sheer stupidity
even if teh copper really did refuse to show hos warrant card he shoudl have given his name and details when at teh station and co-operated and then placed a complaint
this idiot caried on with his arrogance way beyond any justification that he may have thought he had
