Re: Another One Bites The Dust?
It would be a shame if it is closed for those who like to shop there but I only went there when nusing my mother (her shopping list) and was not that impressed (over 5 years ago).

Re: Another One Bites The Dust?
Town centre shopping is becoming a thing of the past. Kwik Save tended to locate themselves in town centres and so were popular with older shoppers and those without cars. However, the majority of people are now used to shopping at large out of town stores, where they can drive to and do an 'all-in-one' shop.
This is fine for people who have cars, but town centre stores are godsends for people without their own transport.

Re: Another One Bites The Dust?
I haven't been there for ages, it used to be a cheap place to shop but you can get the good bargains at most supermarkets now.

I think I went in twice, and usually wiped my feet on the way out.

Re: Another One Bites The Dust?
If they decide to build a new bus terminal on the land behind the store, 'Crawshaw St Carpark', they would have to take some of those buildings IE: Kwik Save down to make give access to the bypass.

Re: Another One Bites The Dust?
Any town centre shop that closes, is bad news for Accrington.
I'll miss it. They had a great selection of cheeses at very good prices, though the last time I went in most of the shelves were empty.
