The Globe...another Accy institution bites the dust. Many happy memories of the establishment back in the day when Mrs Doreen Dunn ran it. Used to go in there for my lunchtime pint in the late 60's when I was in the 6th form at AGS.

I see an advert, on the outside of the pub, that also indicates The Griffins Head is available too.

The current Landlord of the Boars Head has also been running The Grey Horse for a few months too, so it looks like he's decided to move up to the Grey Horse!

It is doing very well, and rightly so. It is a perfect pub, run very well. Good food, great beer.
The advert just says 'do you want to run this pub?' contact Daniel Thwaites Brewery.

Its always been a good pub Simon, I used to drink there quite a lot in the early 80s, can't for the life in me remember the Landlords name could it have been Rubin or summat like that, any ideas Accy Weber's

Yes, John, Rubin's name rings a bell.
I know that the current owner also owns Porter Bros and Gardner, and has done a terrific job with the pub. The food is great and its almost always busy.
