Why was the old lady in the pram?

No wonder people stopped to help!

She stepped backwards and the pram was behind her.

Did the person pushing the pram stop or was it a hit and run?

Itwas hit and run and a police spokesman said they are looking for a Burburry style pram with a tracksuited cap wearing teenager at the handles. They issued a photo fit and artists impression but due to the commonality of this kind of teenager they are not holding out much hope. A reconstruction is planned for this months Crimewatch to see if they can jog someones memory or that someone who knows the assailent comes forward. The victim was in shock and thought it was an attempt to mug her.

Re: Anti-Social Pensioners.

Ya daft beggars!

The pram was stationary actually. The adult with the pram was looking at a shop, one of those with a kind of semi open front like H Samuel's in Accy. The woman sort of back out and didn't look behind her and went backwards over the wheels.

lol I'd be hopeless giving evidence for a real hit and run wouldn't I?

Its a serious case of Friday morning syndrome. The complete opposite of Monday morning syndrome. Dont worry about giving evidence it will always be contorted to how people think it should be. The daily rags have been getting away with it for years.

Well, thank God! Reading this thread, I was beginning to wonder what had happened to all of those lovely, helpful Lanky folks I used to know. Still, on balance, I think it's probably a sad fact that many people don't give a damn these days.

Sorry Cashman, and feel free to disagree, but Hells Grannies was a Monty Python sketch not Benny Hill.

Cool Re: Anti-Social Pensioners.

We pensioners are no more anti-social than anyone else. In fact we are more social than most.

At least we don’t go around burgling houses, nicking cars and ‘joy riding’, mugging school children for their mobiles etc. and creating mayhem in town centres at weekends.

We might have the odd ‘spat’ over the garden fence or in a supermarket or bus queue but that is standing up for our rights although some people might see that as being anti-social.
